Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Viti Maps is a free, independent map. We collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains what is collected and why.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It sets cookies and records non-identifying information such as the pages you view, interactions (searches, shares, clicks), your approximate location (country/region, derived from your IP address), and your device and browser type. This data is aggregated and used only to improve the site.

Contact form

If you submit the contact form, the name, email address and message you provide are sent to us (via Netlify Forms) solely so we can respond. We do not use these details for marketing and do not share them.

Location

Viti Maps does not track your location. The map only requests it if you tap “Find the nearest health facility to me”, and only after your browser asks your permission. If you allow it, your location is used only on your own device to work out the closest facility — it is never sent to us, shared, or stored. You can decline, and everything else on the map still works. This is a convenience tool, not an emergency service: in an emergency, contact emergency services directly.

Third-party services

To display the map and pages, your browser loads resources from third parties that may receive your IP address as a normal part of serving content:

Each operates under its own privacy policy.

Cookies & opting out

The only cookies set are those used by Google Analytics. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

Viti Maps does not currently display advertising. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any ads are shown.

Your choices

To ask what data we hold or to request deletion of a contact-form message, reach us through the contact form on the interactive map.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the date below reflects the latest revision.
